( votes)Riddex Pest Repelling Aid
If you want to get rid of these common household pests without putting you, your family, and your pets’ health at risk then you need to invest in an effective ultrasonic pest repeller. Riddex Pest Repelling Aid is one of Pest Repeller Center’s top picks. As you may have seen on TV, it is both a safe and effective means of getting rid of pests.
Mice and cockroaches are just some of the most common, yet annoying pests that like to live in our homes. These common household pests are very adaptable and are known to contaminate food and carry diseases and other pests, like spiders, can even be poisonous.
We don’t want these pests in your home, so we try to get rid of them by using good ol’ chemical pest repellers – sprays, sticky sheets, chalk. But the toxic chemicals make you wonder who you are really trying to target…the pests or yourself?

Riddex Pest Repelling General Thoughts
Like all ultrasonic pest repellers, the Riddex Pest Repelling Aid does not rely on any chemical to do its work which means it is safe to use around children, pets, or even you!
Weighing a mere 2.7 ounces, the Riddex Pest Repelling Aid works by emitting a patented digital pulse which alters the electromagnetic field (EMF) of the wirings in your home. Similar to the Pest Offense POBD-I-01, this alteration of the EMF in your home’s wirings attacks the pests nervous system – much like how you feel when you hear a high-pitched sound – and makes your home repulsive and sends them away. With this kind of patented technology, Riddex Plus will take care of your pest infestation safely, effectively, and humanely. What’s more, with its 2,000 square feet effective coverage area you get more bangs for your buck!
Ultra-Sonic Pest Repellers delivery quick, but not instant results
You will not see the effects overnight, though. You did not get an infestation overnight and you will not get rid of an infestation overnight. The Riddex Plus pest repeller gets rid of pest in as little as two weeks. However, depending on the degree of infestation, the ultrasonic pest repeller may take up to a month before the infestation is completely solved. We love this pest repeller because…
…it’s user-friendly – just plug it in and you’re good to go! It has a 2000, square feet effective coverage area which is unbelievable considering its size. When it comes to effectiveness, this bad boy can protect from a variety of insects and even mice but according to our research it is most effective against mice, cockroaches, and some species of spiders. And it has a nightlight. Sweet.
When it comes to safety, the Riddex Pest Repelling Aid doesn’t fall short. This device has been proven safe for children, non-rodent pets, and other electronic devices because it is not a chemical based pest repeller.
No more mice and roaches
If you’re having trouble with mice, cockroaches, spiders or other pests roaming around your house and living inside walls then the Riddex Pest Repelling Aid is one of the best choices for you. With its patented EMF-changing impulses technology, your home’s wirings are turned into makeshift force fields that deter pests safely and effectively. However, even though it is such an effective pest control device, it may take a while before it completely gets rid of them. The time of riddance may vary, depending on how bad your pest infestation is. Some reports took 2 to 3 weeks while others, a month. This device is also great to have if you have pet cats or dogs because it does not affect them at all.
Does Riddex Work?
This one is definitely a top recommended repeller due to its patented impulse technology that makes Riddiex an effective pest repeller. Riddex is a leading name in the pest repelling market and customers frequently comment and share their success stories. Check it out and you may be the next satisfied customer.

I have a mice problem but I have a snake is it safe for my snake please get back to me ASAP thanks.
Hi there! Snakes have a peak sensitivity of 200-300Hz range so they won’t hear those ultrasonic sounds. Your snake is safe. 🙂
PS: For more info you can go here: http://www.anapsid.org/reptilehearing.html
im afraid riddex might send these pests to other apartments around mine or throughout the building and ill be blaimed is this true need answer asap please
Hi Mike and thanks for coming here. The repeller will definitely send pests away from your home and it is a possibility that they will go to your neighbors instead. Will you be blamed? That’s a question I don’t know the answer to. Your landlord should be the one blamed for not keeping the building pest-free!
Can you tell me how much emf these devices emit?
I have read that an emf meter will measure that the device is working, but I do not know if the wiring in the house thereby emits more emf than usual. If so, then human beings, over time, may experience negative results.
As you explain the thing, it seems only to be a tone that is created, which is annoying. I have read that rats (and mice, too), for example, are skittish about unexpected noises but that they quickly grow accustomed to new sounds and ignore them. Does this device work with rats, squirrels, etc.?
Hi Pat,
Thanks for coming here. It’s not that the device will increase the EMF emission of your wirings but alter the emissions in such a way that it affects pests living inside walls. These pests could be termites, ants, roaches, or even mice. Given this, there really won’t be any negative effects on humans.
The device changes the EMF emissions with random pulses so the pests don’t get acclimated to the energy field. Also, it’s not a tone – it’s electromagnetic field emissions.
Lastly, the device is more effective for pests that live in between walls such as ants, termites, and mice as I have mentioned before. It might work with squirrels, but knowing that they don’t burrow inside your walls, I don’t think it’ll be that effective. For squirrels, I recommend the Yard Sentinel pest repeller (https://pestrepellercenter.com/reviews/review-yard-sentinel-electronic-squirrel-repellent/)
Hope this helps. If you have any more questions, don’t hesitate to email again.
I have bats and flying squirrels in my attic and barn. Will this device make them want to move out as well?
Hi Joshua,
Yes. Consistent emissions of ultrasonic sound bothers these critters so they’ll want to move out.
Hi there,
i have 2 aldabra tortoise, is this product safe for them? i could find any information about their ultrasound range…
thank you in advance.
Hi Calvin,
Turtles and tortoises can’t hear sound as well as humans do because they don’t have outer ears that stick out of their heads. They are rather equipped with inner ear mechanisms. Turtles mostly rely on their sense of smell and sight so they don’t really rely on their hearing. Given these information, tortoises will won’t be harmed by ultrasonic sound. Thanks!
Hi
I have a squirrel as my prt @ home. Will she be affected by this if I use this@ my house. Pls reply ASAP.
Thanks
That’s an interesting and certainly a challenging question. While I’m not exactly sure what type of pest you are trying to repell, you’ll need to be especially careful to ensure that it does not impact your pet squirrel, after all, that’s exactly the kind of “pest” some products are engineered to repell.
I’d err on getting a repellant that is intended for smaller pests like spiders and roaches. This one may represent a good starting point – https://pestrepellercenter.com/reviews/review-of-bell-howell-ultrasonic-pest-repeller-4-pack/
Products that are designed for large mice, rats, raccoons and even larger pests are more likely to impact your squirrel but a product geared towards a smaller pest should be what you’re looking for.
I’d love to hear what you select and how it works out given the unique nature of your situation.
Good luck with the good ridance!
Will this work on bed bugs?
I’d certainly give it a go but from my understanding results against bed bugs are inconsistent across a range of products and methods. I pulling together plans to develop a comprehensive guide for addressing bed bugs. I understand that it won’t help you right now but give the Riddex or perhaps the Hoont or Home Sentinal 5 in 1 a shot and let me know how it goes.
Thanks!
Hi, can this get rid of lizards?
Great question Michelle. I don’t believe the Riddex is rated for lizards and while I’m not familiar with a product specifically targeitng them, I’d start with a repeller proven to take on snakes.
The Pest Offense is a popular product and we have an outstanding comment about how it works against snakes – https://pestrepellercenter.com/reviews/review-pest-offense-electronic-pest-repeller/
I’d also consider other snake based repellents and the Liquid Fence Snake Repellent is a market leader. We’ll have a review coming out soon but I think I’d look at either or both of those based depending upon the size of the issue.
Let us know what you do and how it works.
Thanks!
I have a starling (bird) as a pet she is small and i bought riddex not thinking it may affect her would it be safe to use around her? please reply asap also would riddex repel bedbugs? there is a high breakout of them in my area and i don’t want to become one of there victims
Hey Jessie.
You know, sometimes it can be a fine line between our pets and our pests and that’s the case here. I don’t believe the Riddex is rated for repelling birds so you should be ok. I’d simply watch and monitor your pet for the first couple of days.
Let me know if that works as I’d love to share with other bird owners that want to repel their pests.
Thanks
Can this product harm my fish in my garden as it is all looped in together
Hey Frank, I think you’re probably ok, but I’d recommend a little more research first. I checked out this site – http://www.lsu.edu/deafness/HearingRange.html – and it demonstrates some low end overlap between some fis and mice (which is the primary target or the Riddex Aid so I assume that’s your target).
Depending upon where the Riddex low end resides, it may or may not impact your fish.
Sorry, that’s not a conclusive response but is should point you in the right direction.
Let me know what you end up getting, I’m sure others would benefit from the lesson.
Thanks!
Is it normal to humans to heard The sound? I justo bough two bit they make a little noise.
Good question Maria. Many units will emit a sound but the reasons can vary by product. Check your manual for the explanation for your specific unit. However, there are 2 leading reasons. Batteries may be running out OR you mau have it on an audible setting that allows you to assess the consistency of the tone you’re emitting to combat pests.
Hope that helps.
Dave
I have buy reddex pest, can you explain why the red LED light blinking when I plug in
Check the product information or user guide that came with the product. That’s going to be your best source of information.
The two pest repelling aides I have have round plugs, and I can’t figure out how to plug them into my outlets. Am I missing something?
That’s a good question, and a new one for me. I’d have to see the plugs to be sure but I wonder if you an international version. Follow-up with your seller. You can also contact Riddex directly. Either source may be able to assist in providing an appropriate adapter or simply a product refund.
Good luck and let us know how that pans out.
Dave
Hello, I purchased one on line and need to buy an adapter to make it compatible to North American outlets. I have two cats, one 12 years old and one who is 2 years. Will they be hurt by this device.
Thanks,
Amanda
You’re probably going to be ok with your pets. Riddex is a top of the line brand and they known for providing pest friendly solutions.
For more confirmation, here’s something you can look into. Check out the packaging or product information including with the product – go to the Riddex website if you don’t have them any longer. Check out the exact frequencies to which your product are set and then compare that information to the hearing frequency chart we have on our FAQ page.
That should provide you with the information you’re looking for.
My neighbor says that the Riddex Pest Repelling Aid ran the chipmunks from her yard.
Think it will work for me? Can I plug it in on a back covered deck? The main chipmunk hole is c. 20 yes. from the outlet.
You sure can’t beat an endorsement like the one provided by your neighbor. If they had success then there’s no reason to think you won’t either… its likely the same chipmunks after all. I’d recommend that you check out the set up your neighbor has and see if you can replicate it. I’d be careful using indoor products in an outdoor setting but so long as you’re within product specs you should be fine.
Thanks for the question and happy repelling Faye.
