The Hoont comes with an impressive range of options that are sure to deter all manner of critters from your garden. The infrared motion detector can effectively cover a space of around 800ft² and the device can be plugged in using the included adaptor or powered by a standard 9 volt battery. The motion sensor trips three different deterrents, which can be used separately or together depending on your needs. There is a powerful LED which will strobe and disorient anything which comes close. Alongside this, you can also have a loud noise playing to startle an animal and trigger their flight response. 
The final feature that triggers is an ultrasonic noise, undetectable to human ears but alarming to wildlife. I ordered Hoont solar powered ultrasonic repeller from Amazon but did not get USB cord or instructions. Since it is no longer available at Amazon I need help from Hoont.
Feel free to reach out directly to Hoont if that’s the case. Also, USB cables are pretty standard. You can probably just pick one of those up.

I need help with the “Hoont Solar Animal Repeller”! Squirrels are within 6 feet of it and do not seemed bothered at all. I’ve used the L & M settings and neither works. Please tell me what to do?
Hard to say exactly Jim but here are some ideas… its a solar repeller so give it plenty of time to power up. The instructions should provide some good guidelines for this – can it power while in use, how long does it take to change the first time, is there a protective film over the collectors?
Lights and settings are unique my manufacturer and their models so check the user manual for the best information on those fronts. Finally, some ultrasonic devices can take time to be effective. They may be irritants that take some time to drive away a pest. Say the food supply was robust and the nest was fully of new borns… it would take more to unseat that family vs. a lone squirrel passing through.
Hopefully that gives some guidance to help you plan your next wave of attack.

Hi! I just bought a Hoont mainly for deterring deer. At what height should I put the device? As you note, there is a ground stake. Is that good enough? Plan to use the ultrasonic and flashing lights mode to begin with and the 9v adaptor.
Yeah, I think you’re on the right path, the Hoont is a good product. I’d start with the stakes as that should be fine. Check the user manual as well… but the stakes should be fine.
Think of the sound coming off like concentric circles – literally sound waves. If they start low (stake level), that’s fine because they will distribute. Second, think of deer in your yard… sure, they can stand tall but often they are foraging which puts their head at ground level.
I think you’ll be fine. Would love to hear your results.
I received a Hoont cobra outdoor water jet blaster. I followed the instructions, used new batteries (tested with voltmeter) and nothing. There was no sound of the valve activating, and when attached to the hose, it is a good sprinkler (but does not shut off). I had very high hopes for your product and hope that we can resolve this.
Hey William, thanks for your comment. I’m not personally familiar with this product but I know the Hoont brand to be very strong. The ultrasonic reviewed on this page is certainly a popular product.
